Crossroads GPS Airs New TV Issue Ad About Claire McCaskill’s Support for ObamaCare

Issue spot will run statewide in Missouri with ad buy totaling $516,000

WASHINGTON – Crossroads Grassroots Policy Strategies (Crossroads GPS) today announced a new issue ad focused on Claire McCaskill’s support of ObamaCare despite overwhelming opposition by Missourians to the policy.

The spot, titled “Obama-Claire,” starts Thursday with a buy totaling $516,000.  The new ad can be viewed here:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=523OoAekib8

“Claire McCaskill’s vote for ObamaCare is bad medicine for Missourians because it cuts Medicare spending and puts unelected bureaucrats in charge of seniors’ care,”  said Nate Hodson, Crossroads GPS Director of State and Regional Media Relations.  “The purpose of this spot is to alert citizens to Claire McCaskill’s ongoing support for ObamaCare when instead she should be pushing for its repeal.”

The ad also urges Missourians to support the “New Majority Agenda.”  For more information about the six major policy initiatives in the plan, visit www.newmajorityagenda.com.

ObamaCare cuts $500 billion in Medicare spending and empowers a board of government bureaucrats to restrict seniors’ access to care.  The law also will remove more than 128,000 Missourians from the Medicare Advantage program.  In 2010, the citizens of Missouri overwhelmingly opposed ObamaCare with 71% disapproving of the law.
