Crossroads GPS Launches New TV Issue Ad on Jobs and Debt

Ad airs in nine states in buy totaling $8 million.

WASHINGTON – Crossroads Grassroots Policy Strategies (Crossroads GPS) today announced a new television issue ad in nine states urging the President to address the nation’s jobs crisis and out-of-control debt.

The new ad, called “Tried,” will air on network television stations in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio and Virginia for the next 7-10 days, and can be viewed here. High resolution versions are available upon request.

The ad is part a $25 million advocacy by Crossroads GPS launched last week to frame the issue debate over jobs and debt, which will run through early August.

“President Obama promised that his policies of big spending and taking on more debt would create jobs, but instead we’ve seen the weakest economic recovery in modern history,” said Steven Law, President of Crossroads GPS.  “Every economic recovery in modern history has been faster and stronger than this one – and what’s different this time are the big spending, debt-creating policies of President Obama, policies we need to stop immediately and replace with fiscally responsible approaches.”

Today’s ad encourages viewers to learn about the “New Majority Agenda,” a pro-growth platform that Crossroads GPS developed to rebuild our economy and clean up Washington’s fiscal mess.  For more information about the six major policy initiatives detailed in the plan, visit www.newmajorityagenda.org.

Crossroads GPS is a policy and grassroots advocacy organization that is committed to educating, equipping and mobilizing millions of American citizens to take action on the critical economic and legislative issues that will shape our nation’s future in the years ahead.
