Crossroads GPS Launches Second Issue Ad in Wisconsin Focused on Reckless Washington Spending

Total buy is $250,000; Ad urges support of New Majority Agenda

WASHINGTON – Crossroads Grassroots Policy Strategies (GPS) today launched its second TV issue ad in Wisconsin – calling for Tammy Baldwin to stop reckless spending in Washington and cut the national debt.  Backed by a $250,000 buy, the spot is part of the group’s ongoing effort to encourage support for the New Majority Agenda.

The new ad starts today on broadcast and cable networks in Wisconsin.  Titled “Mountain,” the spot can be viewed here:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3VyUIRXlk8

“Crossroads is keeping the pressure on Tammy Baldwin to take action and stop the out-of-control spending in Washington,” said Nate Hodson, Crossroads GPS Director of State and Regional Media Relations.  “This spot encourages Tammy Baldwin to cut the debt and push for the practical solutions in the New Majority Agenda.”

The ad encourages viewers to support the “New Majority Agenda,” which includes a plank on cutting the national debt.  For more information about the six major policy initiatives detailed in the plan, visit www.newmajorityagenda.org.

Tammy Baldwin voted for major spending packages in Congress, including bailouts and the wasteful stimulus package.  Since Baldwin started in Congress in 1999, the national debt has increased by more than $10 trillion.
