Crossroads GPS Launches New Web Video on Union Obamacare Waivers

Video centers on Obamacare waivers to politically connected unions who support Democrats

WASHINGTON – Crossroads Grassroots Policy Strategies (Crossroads GPS) today launched a web video focused on the labor unions that have received waivers from the Obamacare mandate.

The video highlights that more than 185 Obamacare waivers have been granted to politically-connected unions, which helped elect Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. These unions supported Obama and other democrats with more than $120 million in the 2008 and 2010 elections.

“Earlier this week we discovered a large number of Obamacare waivers being granted in Nancy Pelosi’s congressional district, and in the state of Nevada, where the two top Democrats in Congress reside,” said Crossroads GPS communications director Jonathan Collegio. “The HHS Department, which grants waivers, has yet to tell the public on what criteria they grant waivers, but appearances indicate that waivers are being given to the politically connected.”

Folks who view the video are asked to call Obama and ask on what criteria Obamacare waivers are granted.

This is the first initiative in a new line of GPS issue advocacy on the Obamacare issue. The ad can be viewed here.
